Not surprised...

...that I only lost ½lb this week!

BUT....

I am officially kicking my own arse into gear!!!

I've been in this ditch for too long and I plan on getting myself out of it. I don't have weigh in on Monday next week but Wednesday instead because of Easter. Speaking of which I have a Cadbury's Dairy Milk Easter egg sitting in my cupboard waiting to be devoured! It weighs about 5ozs which I think is about 37 Syns! Gonna have to go steady with this one, lol. I'm toying with the idea of waiting until I have reached my 2 stone award before I crack it open...... hmmmmm.

Anyway...

3½lbs until my 2 stone award!

Club 10

Well I lost another pound on Monday which brings me down to 15st 6½ lbs! This is a loss of 1st 10lbs in total which is 10% of my starting body weight! YAYYY! I'm a third of the way to where I want to be too which I'm happy about. If I keep going to same way I will be at target in 6 months!

I'm not having a good week at the moment though, I feel bloated and craving comfort food. I seem to have lost my mojo which is pissing me off as I really want to continue losing weight. I'm hoping the scales on Monday are going to be kind to me as my own are not showing a loss yet only a GAIN!! ARRRGGGHHHHH!

Only time will tell I suppose. I have a couple of ripe pineapples that are ready for demolishing so I might get started on those for my breakfast today.

23lbs gone!

Well I lost 2½lbs on Monday! Very surprised to be perfectly honest...lol. I got my 1½ stone award sticker with a total loss of 1st 9lbs! I need 1lb to get my Club 10 now (thought I would have got it already) so that's the goal for next Monday.

I have been a little naughty with a few things this week though. I've been having the odd slice of Best Of Both bread instead of the bread I should have. I've had a bit of a cold to fend off so I think it was a comfort food craving. I think I should have eaten more vegetables with my meals too but I seemed to concentrate on carbing up again for the comfort reasons.

Last night I followed a recipe I was given at the meeting for Baked Bean Lasagne. I'm just waiting for the 2nd portion to cool enough to eat now actually, but it was gorgeous! I would definitely recommend people try it. I'll make up a new page at some point and put my favourite recipes on there just in case anyone decides to have a look on here.

Ugh! Feel all bloated and crap.

At least it looks like it's going to stay between weigh ins this month! There is no way I'm going anywhere near MY scales for a few days...lol.

Just fell short!

Well Monday weigh in went better than I expected! I lost 2lbs, just ½lb short of getting my 1½ stone award!! ARRRGHH! I WILL get it next week :o)

I found out that I need 2½ to get my Club 10 too, so hopefully I'll be getting them both on Monday.

I've been managing to eat much better over the last few days. The problem I have now is that my food gets stuck where my tooth was, therefore I have to make sure I carry a cocktail stick around with me.

My boss told me today that she can see the weight loss much better now which is always an ego boost. The incentive continues! :D

I think I'm going to attempt a SW cannelloni dish tonight, stuffed with cottage cheese and baby spinach. If all goes well it should taste pretty good!

Liquid meals

I've done well so far this week, I did go over my Syns at one point by 6 but I hadn't had them all on other days so balanced out quite nicely.

Today I went to the dentist and had a tooth extracted so I'm not feeling too good at the moment. I finished of some vegetable soup I had made, although I could only drink it luke warm it was gorgeous as I was really hungry! I'll make some more later for my tea I think then maybe move to some soft solids tomorrow. I hope today doesn't have a negative effect on Monday's weigh in.

I need to lose 2½lbs this week to get my 1½ stone award and 6lbs to get my Club 10!

Soup For Lunch

As you can see I'm a few weeks in and not doing too bad at all. I'm quite please overall although there have been a couple of blips that caused me to STS (stay the same) and gain!

All I can do is draw a line under them and continue the best way I know how!

I've just made a lovely soup to take to work tomorrow consisting of....
  • Carrots
  • Butternut Squash
  • Swede
  • Onions
  • Herbs
  • Stock
.... it's all blitzed up and ready for my flask, simple but VERY tasty.

Me losing weight actually.
Towards the end of 2009 I decided that I'd had enough of being over weight and wanted to be happier with my body. I had got so sick and tired of wearing the same old clothes and the thought of having to go and buy new ones was not a nice thought, the shopping stress gets me so uptight and pissed off to say the least. I've seen times where I've taken 3 weeks, if not more, just to find a new pair of jeans; they aren't too common in a size 22/24!! When I do find something I like, fit in to and can afford I end up wearing the life out of it and then the cycle begins again.

So, time to do something about it. A friend of mine had recently lost 2 stone at 'Slimming World' so I thought I'd give it a try. I'd been to 'Weight Watchers' a few times and the thought of having to count 'points' for everything that passed my lips did NOT appeal.

I decided that I would commence in the new year, after all why should I spoil Christmas?

Monday 4th January was sign up day. I trudged up to the University through the horrendous snowy conditions and bit the bullet.

There was hardly anyone in the first meeting and I'm thinking "OMG! There's no one here!". I later found out that the regulars were hiding and trying to lose some of their Christmas weight gain before confronting the scales again.

All went smoothly, I got my books, bought some recipe books and got myself weighed! YIKES!! My first weigh in was 17st 2½lbs!! I was horrified.

The challenge was on, I was SO determined to beat this!
